TAO Tel-Aide Celebrates 50 Years of Service

TAO Tel-Aide celebrates its 50th anniversary this year! They offer a listening and referral service in French, 24/7, free, anonymous, confidential, empathetic, and non-judgmental.
Now known nationally, their telephone listening and referral service greatly contributes to mental health prevention.

Moreover, TAO Tel-Aide collaborates with other listening centers in Quebec, all sharing the same values and vision. The organization proudly relies on the commitment of over 55 trained and active volunteers from the Outaouais and the greater Ottawa region. All listening volunteers are supported by a professional team to ensure each call is handled with care and empathy. From 2022-2023, they answered over 12,000 calls.
