Franco-Ontarian bookstores are more than just shops — they are vital cultural and community spaces. Once numbering 12 across the province, only three remain today. My Bill 58 aims to support these bookstores by requiring publicly funded institutions to purchase their French-language books locally, helping small businesses, strengthening Ontario’s publishing industry, and keeping tax dollars in the province.
