Ottawa-Vanier's New Year's Levee
The Ottawa-Vanier elected officials New Year’s Levee was a great success this year, with some notable highlights. Nearly 200 people joined us at the Richelieu-Vanier Centre to celebrate the occasion, including Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, Ambassador for Japan Kanji Yamanouchi, and US Ambassador David Cohen.
A special thank you to our emcee, Mathieu Fleury, for his role in hosting the event and who's heart is still in Rideau-Vanier. We also want to express our gratitude to everyone who attended and to our staff, who worked diligently to set up the event and create a welcoming atmosphere. The community spirit that filled the room was a reminder of the strength of our local connections.
The New Year’s Levee, hosted by Ottawa-Vanier MP Mona Fortier and joined by City Councillor Rawlson King (Rideau-Rockcliffe), City Councillor Stéphanie Plante (Rideau-Vanier), City Councillor Tim Tierney (Beacon Hill-Cyrville) and myself.
It was a wonderful gathering with beverages, music, food, and great company. We were pleased to see many in the community come together for this occasion to celebrate the New Year.
It is with great honor and appreciation that we recognized the outstanding volunteer efforts of individuals who have dedicated their time and energy to making a positive impact in our community during our New Year’s Levee:
