Honoring the Memory of the Rwandan Genocide Victims
30 years ago, close to 1 million Tutsis in Rwanda lost their lives in the Rwandan genocide, over a four-month period.
I was privileged and honoured to host a reception commemorating this anniversary with the Rwandan Community Abroad Toronto. Together, we remembered the victims lost and the brave survivors who continue to live on, carrying their stories and strength.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in this important moment of remembrance. Let us continue to stand in solidarity with the survivors and work towards a world where such a tragedy is never repeated.
