Today! Debating Second Reading of Bill 133: Kids' Online Safety and Privacy Month

📢 Today, I’m debating the second reading of my Private Member's Bill 133, an Act to proclaim the month of September as Kids’ Online Safety and Privacy Month.

Earlier today, I had the privilege of joining Dr. Charlene Doak-Gebauer for a press conference to discuss this critical bill. Bill 133 aims to raise awareness about the growing dangers kids face online, such as cyberbullying, exploitation, and data privacy issues. In the wake of rapid advancements in technology, digital supervision has never been more important.

By designating September as a month dedicated to online safety and privacy, we hope to ignite a national conversation on how we can better protect children in the digital age. Together, let’s make sure that our children are safe as they navigate the online world.
