Saveurs de la Francophonie 2024
Tonight, I had the pleasure of attending the 11th edition of the Espoirs culinaires - Saveurs de la Francophonie 2024 event at La Cité benefiting the Family Services of CSC Vanier. This year’s event is organized in partnership with the Group of Francophone Ambassadors and Ambassadors of Ottawa, with 32 embassies from Francophone countries contributing ingredients and culinary traditions from their regions.
The chefs at La Cité planned a 5-course menu that will showcase the flavors of the Francophonie. The atmosphere was festive, and as with all Francophone events, people had a great time reconnecting. It was a special moment to celebrate the French language and culture, and this evening was no exception.
Supporting such an important cause while enjoying international dishes prepared by talented young chefs made for a winning recipe for a truly memorable evening. The event not only showcased the culinary diversity of the Francophonie but also supported local causes that make a real difference in our community.
The event took place in support of the Vanier Community Service Centre (CSC Vanier), an organization that plays a crucial role in assisting families and individuals in vulnerable situations within our community. A big thank you to everyone for your dedication and hard work. Looking forward to next year's edition.
