Remembering the 80th Anniversary of D-Day

On 6 June 1944, Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy (France) to open the way to Germany from the West. Victory in the Normandy campaign would come at a terrible cost. The Canadians suffered the most casualties of any division in the British Army Group.

6 June 2024, marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, a day marked by immense courage, sacrifice, and liberation. We honor the bravery of those who stormed the beaches of Normandy and the many who lost their lives.

Their actions paved the way for the liberation of Europe and are forever etched in history. Let us uphold their legacy by protecting the values they fought and died for: freedom, justice, and peace.
