Progress for Vanier’s Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic
Congratulations to Nurse Practitioners Joanna Binch and Hoda Mankal for securing $2.5 million in provincial funding for a new Nurse Practitioner-Led clinic in Vanier! Thanks to their collaborative efforts and strong advocacy, our Vanier community will benefit greatly from this new primary care access. This clinic will provide essential services and support to those in need, improving healthcare availability and accessibility.
Additionally, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) for recognizing my efforts in supporting the proposal for an Ottawa Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (NPLC). It's heartening to see our collaborative work acknowledged, and I'm thrilled that partial funding has been approved. Together, we're making positive strides in healthcare accessibility for our community.

It’s crucial to highlight that even in 2024, there is still no clinic in Ottawa—Vanier to provide the level of primary care we urgently need. While this funding is a step in the right direction, we must continue to advocate for better support and resources for our healthcare system, so all residents have access to the care they need.
