Opening of Anina’s Cafe and Images Unlimited

It was a pleasure to visit some of the new local businesses that are up and running in Ottawa-Vanier. First, I visited Anina’s Cafe at 280 Joffre-Belanger Way at their grand opening on Friday, May 24th. Anina’s Cafe is a new coffee, breakfast, and lunch spot in the heart of Ottawa-Vanier with a mission to provide home-cooked quality offerings.

The cafe offers many delicious options, including a kid’s menu, baked pastries, and locally sourced coffee and tea. Indeed, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Congratulations to the owner, Adam, on his new business. The cafe’s menu is a tribute to Anina, Adam’s late mother, a philanthropist and chef who enjoyed helping others. Stop by and enjoy a treat; they are open seven days a week.

On the same day, the adjoining art gallery, Images Unlimited, also had its grand opening. Anina’s Cafe connects to the Images Unlimited, allowing one to enjoy beverages while exploring the gallery. This new vibrant cultural hub features artworks from local artists and artists across Canada, including Peter Lord, a local Ottawan.

The gallery’s collection features Indigenous and contemporary artworks. On the first Friday of each month, the gallery will hold public viewing days. The gallery plans to have lively evenings with DJ music and refreshments. The immersive Hi-Fi room, with unique vinyl records and high-fidelity sound reproduction, is not to be missed. Welcome to the neighborhood!
