MPP Connections - Supporting Local Businesses at Byward Fruit Market

As part of my ‘MPP Connections’, I had the pleasure of visiting the Byward Fruit Market, a local gem offering fresh fruits, organic vegetables, edible flowers, gluten-free products, and much more.

The owners shared their commitment, saying: “We believe that all our actions can make a tangible, positive difference. Fresh food isn’t just better for the environment, it’s better for our customers too.”

However, it’s clear that the vitality of the market is not what it used to be. We must listen to and address the challenges faced by our local businesses to help provide solutions that will support and revitalize our community spaces.
